Our fastest Ferry is Realt na Maidne ( Irish for Morning Star), and this modern vessel is ideal where a bit of speed or a bit of a thrill, is needed. Emphasis is on a quick turn-around time whether it is used for locals going to and from work, or the various tourism option like;
- Fishing - Sharks, Seals, Otters,
- Sight-seeing
- Photography or other Ocean expeditions,
This boat is a RIB and powered by twin Yamaha ME422 High Output Diesel Sterndrives (275hp), giving a top speed of around 38 knots, cruising around 30 knots. The craft is capable of completing the three mile journey from Burtonport to Arranmore in just over five minutes.
