Seals and Otters

Donegal and the Arranmore Islands are complimented by families of Otters (lutrinae) and Seals (from Anglo-Saxon seolh).

Our Otters live primarily on fish, crabs and crayfish, and will sample an occasional frog for variation (with one exception). The coast off Donegal has plenty to offer an otter, and they know it!

You can see them in the sea, by the shore and basking on the Island itself.
