As of December 2009, We are pleased to add another boat to our fleet, the MV Bruernish. This vessel came from Scotland originally and belonged to the well known Scottish firm, 'Calmac'. The vessel is licenced to carry up to 97 passengers. Tickets can bought on the boat for passengers and vehicles and during the Summer months, our booking office on Burtonport pier will be opened.

Brief history of the MV Bruernish.
In 2007, the O’Leary’s fitted the Bruernish out with 3 new Daewoo engines, 2 main and 1 generator. This generator can supply enough power to keep refrigerated containers on board and the mains give the vessel a new lease of life giving her a cruising speed of 9-10 knots .
In 2008, the vessel was modified with her upper deck extended and 45 seats added. She was also sandblasted back to the bare steel inside and out. Following this work, she was granted a B class licence allowing her to carry 97 passengers plus cargo.
Leaving the vessel like new for her journey north, MV Bruernish now serves the Burtonport to Arranmore Island route in Co Donegal as part of the Arranmore Fast Ferry group.
